Danco Heating and Cooling was founded in 1961 after Dan Galbrecht and his family relocated to the area following the purchase of a resort on Presque Isle Lake. What began as a plumbing and heating company steadily grew over the years, and in 1977, Dan’s son joined the business full time. The company was officially incorporated as Dan’s Inc. in 1979 and became an independent Lennox dealer in 1983. In 1998, the business expanded into the fireplace specialty trade, and today, Dan’s Inc. operates as Danco Heating and Cooling.
